NICU Helping Hands is thrilled to announce a new partnership that will expand the reach of our resources by bringing them to the front of the The Mighty‘s extensive readership.
NICU Helping Hands will now have a growing home page on The Mighty and will appear on many stories throughout the site. This will give readers the added opportunity to connect, learn about our resources, and support our mission.
The Mighty is a story-based health community focused on improving the lives of people facing disease, disorder, mental illness and disability. More than half of Americans are facing serious health conditions or medical issues. An estimated 15 million babies are born too early every year. That’s more than 1 in 10 babies. Families want more than information. They want to be inspired. The Mighty publishes real stories about real people facing real challenges.
NICU Helping Hands is focused on developing hospital- and community-based programs that provide education and support for families with babies in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), during their transition from hospital to home and in the event of an infant loss.
Recognizing that the journey doesn’t end in the hospital, NICU Helping Hands has five key programs; Project NICU, One-on-One Mentoring Program, Family Assistance Program, NICU Mom Connect, and Angel Gown® Program to meet the needs of families throughout their journey. Our partnership with The Mighty will allow us to reach even more people to offer them hope help and support.
