My name is Natalie Gordon, and I am a mom to former 24 week twins. I have gravitated towards trying to help families fumble their way through their NICU journeys since the day our babies were discharged from the NICU. I have been so blessed over the last year though to serve with NICU Helping Hands on the front lines of support.
I can tell you as a mom who was told in the beginning of our journey that we very easily may not make it out of the NICU with our babies, serving families that do not get the opportunity to bring their child home is an absolute honor. I have unfortunately been asked to stand beside too many families this past year as they lay their little one to rest; however, when I am able to offer them a choice of an angel gown to wrap their angel in, it touches them in a way that is indescribable.
I am beyond excited to extend the opportunity at this month’s NICU Mom Connect outing to our NICU family graduates that would like to join NICU Helping Hands and me as we pin, box and prepare angel gowns so that they can be distributed to hospitals and families across the country! Find out first hand how these beautiful gowns are prepared to help comfort bereaved families. We can’t wait to see you there!!
